Iron Women is a grassroots nonprofit born from a mission: To bridge divides within Israeli society and strengthen the values of unity, mutual responsibility, and standing together—especially in times of crisis.
We’ve created a unique volunteering platform where everyone can participate and offer each other support.
Our “Family First Aid” program provides practical and emotional assistance that transcends sectors and communities. It’s open to anyone, regardless of socioeconomic background, and offers both professional and non-professional help—7 days a week, all year round—delivered by a vast network of volunteers. In this model, everyone who receives help also has the chance to give it back.
We’re launching a series of projects to fulfill our mission, powered by thousands of volunteers from diverse communities and backgrounds.
Our first project is already underway: we are recruiting “women volunteers”—To support wives and partners of reservists called to the front lines. These women are managing the household, the kids, and the emotional weight of uncertainty, all while trying to maintain the routine in the midst of chaos
Behind each one there is a family, a woman, children, and a home—suddenly left to manage alone. In many households, the woman now carries everything: work, children, errands, and often her own fears and anxieties.
of mothers report a decline in their mental health since the war began
say their financial situation has worsened
Yet only 25% have looked for any help or support.
Listening and offering a helping hand—whether emotional or practical— And reminding each other: You don’t have to carry it all alone.
Our goal is simple: Ease the burden, create breathing room, and restore a sense of togetherness. Because when every woman knows someone has her back, even the hardest days become more bearable

Meet Harel Tanji
Hello I’m Harel 25 years old. I was severely injured in the war when a grenade exploded next to me—I took 4 pieces of shrapnel to my head. When I survived, I knew I had to fulfill a purpose. Now, as my friends head into their fifth round of combat, and I’m unable to fight alongside them because of my injury, I know my battle continues—just in a different front. We must all fight for our home—not just on the battlefield, but on the home front.
Iron Women was founded to care for the families of our reserve soldiers. Join us. Help us be there for them, so that every soldier knows there’s a community behind him—standing strong with his family
We’re building a movement. A community that leads change and takes part in the fight on the home front ❤️
